Uppu Seedai or salt seedai is one of the important neivedhyam dishes for Krishna Jayanthi festival and Thirukarthigai festival. It’s a deep fried snack prepared using rice flour, urad dal flour and salt. Crispy outside and melting inside makes this seedai unique in flavor and texture. Vella Seedai, Uppu Seedai, Aval Puttu, Nei Appam are the most important Prasad we offer to Lord Krishna on Krishna Jayanthi.
