Description
Katli is a kind of fudge made with nuts powder and sugar syrup. It is much thinner as compared to the original fudge and is drier too.The most common Katli are Kaju Katli made with Cashews. And then there is Badam Katli made with Almonds.
Traditionally, we grind the nuts into a fine powder and then add to the boiling sugar syrup. Once the mixture thickens, collect the mixture together like a dough. And then you roll it out thin and immediately cut into pieces. Any kind of Katli is usually shaped into Diamond.We can flavor this Almond Katli with – Saffron, or Cardamom powder, and sometimes with Rose essence also.
